The Loxahatchee Club Tradition
“The Caddie is the lifeblood of the game of golf…a great companion, a friendly conversationalist and a smiling face. This is what the game of golf is all about.”
Charles “Chick” Evans, Jr (Founder of the Evan's Scholarship)
The game of golf is rich with history and tradition, and the Members of The Loxahatchee Club believe caddies are an integral part of the great game of golf. Jack Nicklaus designed the course with the walking golfer in mind, and the caddie program has thrived since the course opening in 1985.
Scott Lubin, our Caddie Master, has over 20 years as a Class A Golf Professional and 14 years of experience caddying on the PGA Tour, Champions Tour (8 years with Jack Nicklaus) and LPGA Tour. Scott formed an incredible network with prominent clubs such as: Essex County Club, Muirfield Village Golf Club, Oakmont Country Club, Nantucket Golf Club, Oyster Harbor’s Club, Merion Golf Club, Pine Valley Golf Club, Westchester Country Club, Sebonack Golf Club and Winged Foot Golf Club.
“Recruiting from these elite clubs allows the members at The Loxahatchee Club to experience the upmost professionalism and build relationships with the finest caddies in the world. We are proud to have the Caddie program recognized in the Top 50 Worldwide by Links Magazine,” Scott Lubin.
The complete support of the Membership is vital to the success of any Caddie Program, and The Loxahatchee Club Members have fully embraced theirs, with over 70 percent of rounds played in season accompanied by a walking caddie. The Caddie Program serves to enhance the golf experience of Members and their guests, while at the same time helping reduce the amount of cart traffic on the course, thereby preserving the exceptional playing conditions.
